The belief that mutations could slowly change one type of animal into a completely different type of animal is analogous to believing that you could change a black-and-white television into a color television by randomly changing parts. The random addition of parts will definitely produce change; but they will never produce an improved television, a color television, or a television that is slowly being transformed into some other useful device. Even if the correct color television parts were randomly placed into the television, the complexity required to change the television into some other useful device would not allow it to happen. It would become a nonfunctioning piece of junk long before it could have evolved into a more complex piece of machinery. Mutations cause a loss of information and do not explain where the information present within every living organism originated. This is a fact of science, regardless of how many parts are added without an overall plan.
Evolution relies on billions of years to explain the transformation of life. But even if zillions of parts are randomly added to trillions of televisions for billions of years, not a single improved television will result. In the same way, mutations will produce changes, but they will never enable one type of creature to turn into a completely different type. For that to happen, useful information would have to be added to the DNA of the creature. This simply does not happen as a result of random mutations.

And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and everything thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. -Genesis 1:25 KJV
One of the most common questions asked of biologists is the origin of races. This question produces confusion concerning the origin of mankind. If humans evolved from apes, should not some humans be closer to their apelike ancestors than others? If so, why not consider them "less human"? This logical conclusion of evolutionary thinking led directly to historical atrocities such as Hitler's elimination of the Jews and the genocide of Australian aborigines. Historical statements such as the following 2/24/1924 New York Tribune description of aborigines reveal the evolutionary-driven prejudice of the day:
In contrast, the Bible states that all people have equal dignity, because all mankind descended from a single pair of humans. Gregor Mendel, a Christian monk and the father of modern genetics, proved that the genetic variability of different characteristics (such as skin color and body shape) was present in the very first human created. Skin color, eye color, etc., are not indications of our evolutionary past but are inherited characteristics from our parents. The only reason "white" people have "white" babies is that generations of light-skinned people married each other and the genes producing more melanin (dark skin pigments) became recessive or lost. The Bible stated that ALL people are of one blood long before science proved it.
One Blood: The Biblical Answer to Racism, p.7-88
And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings... -Acts 17:26 NKJV
It would take thousands of carefully directed changes to the genes of an eyeless creature for it to possess a crude light-sensitive patch or a compound eye. It would take countless more to turn a light-sensitive patch or compound eye into a fluid-filled eyeball. Since an eye that is not fully developed does not provide sight, any mutation not providing some advantage would be useless. These mutations would be eliminated by natural selection rather than developing in a step-by-step manner into the complex eye. So how did the eye develop?
Neither living nor fossil animals show any evidence for the gradual development of an eye. Every known creature either has a fully developed compound eye, a fluid-filled eyeball, or a light-gathering spot. No adequate mechanism has been proposed as to how any one of these types of eyes could have turned into another by random step-by-step mutational changes.
There are no adequate mechanisms explaining how an eyeball developed over time and no examples in the fossil record indicating that it has ever happened.

Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men. -Psalm 107:8
It is commonly assumed that the wide variety of life on Earth proves that evolution has taken place. Darwin proposed that small changes, similar to what is possibly by selective breeding, can be extended to produce completely different kinds of creatures. Selective breeding, which has produced our many dog varieties, is quite common. Within every type of living organism, wide variation is possible and many varieties may be developed. An example is the one million varieties of rice that have been developed.
The information needed to create this wide variety of rice was already present on the rice DNA at the moment of creation. Selective breeding can definitely produce the wide variety and diversity we find in such plants as rice. However, a limit is always reached, rice stays rice and reptiles never turn into birds. This is true, regardless of how much time passes. With time, creatures actually degenerate by birth defects rather than turning into new types of creatures.
There is no observable scientific evidence to support the idea that evolution of completely different types of creatures can take place. The science of genetics wasn't formally introduced until the early 1900's. Since then intensive breeding experiments have failed to show how even one kind of animal could ever change into another kind of animal.

And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds...." -Genesis 1:20
Mutations (chance errors in genes) are the only proposed mechanism whereby new genetic information for evolution can emerge. It is common knowledge that rarely, if ever, does a mutation improve an organism in its natural environment. Almost all observable mutations are harmful; some are meaningless; many are lethal. No known mutation has ever produced a form of life having greater complexity and viability than its ancestors.
"There is no reason to believe that mutations or any natural process could ever produce any new organs- especially those as complex as our eye, ear, or brain. For example, an adult human brain contains over 1 x 10 to the 14th power (a hundred thousand billion) electrical connections, more than all the electrical connections in all the electrical appliances in the entire world. Just the human heart, a ten-ounce pump that will operate without maintenance or lubrication for over 75 years, is an engineering marvel. To this day the heart is unparalleled by any man-made pump."
How could random mistakes to the genetic code produce improvements? How could random changes have produced these marvels in the first place?

God's voice thunders in marvelous ways; He does great things beyond our understanding. - Job 37: 5
Biologists have discovered that certain living cells come with a built-in self-destruct mechanism. A certain gene within these cells triggers a sequence of events which cause the death of that cell. This is God's way of renewing, recycling, reshaping, or repairing different parts of an organism. For example, as a tadpole turns into a toad, it no longer needs its tail. When the special gene gives the order, the tail cells begin to die. In other words, some living cells contain a gene that signals the death of the cell at its appointed time. Why would evolution develop genes that order death? By definition, such a gene would not aid survival.

Just as man is destined to die once... - Hebrews 9: 27
Not only does your genetic code store far more information in a microscopic space that our largest computers, it also has a built-in error correction system. Errors are constantly creeping into the DNA code because of radiation, chemical exposure, and other outside forces. Scientists have discovered a number of key enzymes within the cell whose only job is to find and correct errors in the genetic code. These enzymes faithfully correct mistakes, thereby preventing mutations. Yet we are expected to believe that these mistakes and mutations are what cause evolution to happen. Why would a system evolve whose sole function is to prevent the very mechanism which supposedly drives evolution (mutations)?
Life could not accurately reproduce without this genetic proofreading. Scientists have no adequate explanation for how these specific enzymes could have evolved by random processes. Everywhere we hear that things have "evolved," yet no explanation is given for how specific biological functions, such as this mistake-correcting mechanism, could have evolved.
"Only our Creator could have been wise enough to design an information system which can correct its own errors."

"...stop and consider God's wonders." -Job 37:14
In order to find the effect of mutations, fruit flies have been irradiated to simulate millions of years of evolutionary "progress." There have been over ninety years of fruit fly experiments involving over 3,000 consecutive generations. The mutation rate within fruit flies has been greatly accelerated, and the results have been carefully documented.
The result has been the rearrangement and corruption of genetic information already contained within the fruit fly's DNA, but nothing other than a modified fruit fly has ever developed. The loss of genetic information has produced organs which are deformed, but no new organs as required by evolution.
Scientific experimentation has confirmed that there is no basis for believing that any natural or artificial evolutionary process will ever transform a fruit fly into anything other than another fruit fly. Mutational changes never cause the fruit fly to increase in complexity. Experimentation confirms that mutations could never produce a genetic improvement in any creature.
